To add a new element type, click on the button on the main screen toolbar. To edit the data of an element type, select it in the list of records and click on the button.
On the screen that will be opened, enter an ID # and a name for the element type. In the Icon field, select an image to represent the element type. The following tabs are also available:
Note: When adding an indicator type, the Attribute tab will be enabled to be filled out only after saving the record for the first time. The Related framework tab will only be enabled after the element type is associated with a framework.

Use identification mask
|
When adding elements to this type, the automatic identification resource will be used. The following fields will be enabled:
▪Identification mask: Select the desired identification mask. Use the other buttons next to the field to add a new mask, use it to generate the ID # and clear the field. ▪Enable ID # change: Enable this option to allow the generated ID # to be manually edited when adding elements to this type. If it is not checked, the generated ID # may not be edited. |
The ID #s must be manually entered by the user who is adding the elements to this type.

Fill out this field to record important information regarding the element type being created.

In this tab, it is possible to associate the attributes that will complement the information of the elements created in this type. On the side toolbar, the following buttons are available:

Click on this button to add a new attribute and associate it with the type. See how to perform this operation in the Configuring an attribute section.

Click on this button to associate an attribute that was previously created in the system with the type. See how to perform this operation in the Adding attributes section.

Click on this button to save the association of attributes with the type.
|
|
Click on this button to disassociate the attribute selected in the list of records from the type.
|
|
This tab will list the frameworks in which the element type is being used. The element types that have association can be identified by the "A" (Associated?) column, in the records list on the main screen.

After setting the necessary configurations, save the record.
