Defining the vision chart

Previous  Top  Next

Through the Charts option, it is possible to define how the vision data will be displayed.

According to the selected option, the configuration of the column/row/axis, measurement, filter, and caption fields may vary. It may also have to meet some requirements to function correctly. This information is found in the table below:

Table

Columns: Drag to this area the fields (dimension) that will form the columns of the table. Their values will be displayed as rows in the table.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will calculate the values of the columns of the table.

Pivot table

Lines: Drag to this area the fields (dimension) whose values will form the lines of the table. In this vision, the values (measurement) displayed come from the relationship between the values in the line fields and the values in the column fields.

Columns: Drag to this area the fields (dimension) that will form the columns of the table.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields that will measure the values of the columns of the table.

Column

X axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the columns of the column chart. When a second column is added, its data will be displayed when drilling down the chart.

Caption: Drag to this area the field whose values will allow greater detailing in the chart. The columns generated from the values in the X axis fields will be divided in smaller columns, according to the values in the caption field. These smaller columns will be distinguished by different colors, which will have a caption below the chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields that will measure the values of the columns of the column chart.

Bar

Y axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the bars of the bar chart. When adding a second bar, its data will be displayed when drilling down the chart.

Caption: Drag to this area the field whose values will allow greater detailing in the chart. The bars generated from the values in the Y axis fields will be divided in smaller bars, according to the values in the caption field. These smaller bars will be distinguished by different colors, which will have a caption below the chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the bars of the bar chart.

Pie

Slice label: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the slices of the pie chart. The width of each slice comes from the measurement percentage for each value.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the slices of the pie chart.

Line

X axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the lines of the line chart. When adding a second column, its data will be displayed when drilling down the chart.

Caption: Drag to this area the field whose values will allow greater detailing in the chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the lines of the line chart.

Radar

Axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the radii (axes) of the radar chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the radii of the radar chart.

Pareto

Y axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the columns of the Pareto chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the columns of the Pareto chart.

Area

X axis: Drag to this area the field (dimension) whose values will form the areas of the vision chart.

Caption: Drag to this area the field whose values will allow greater detailing in the chart.

Measurements: Drag to this area the fields (measurement) that will measure the values of the areas of the area chart.
