Location: Configuration Variable

Prerequisites:

None.

Overview:

The system enables the creation of additional variables that will be measured when calibrating the gage. These variables are associated with the standard activity used in the calibration plan. They exert some influence over the calibration and, therefore, it is necessary to have them properly configured. They may be of the following types:

Constant: the variable measurement has a constant value. I.e.: Pi = 3.14.

Input based on point: the variable measurement will be performed in different points of the same asset.

Input based on reading: the variable measurement will be performed several times in the same point.

Variables also allow measurement units to be converted during calibration. Each variable, then, has one input and one output measurement unit. In addition to that, a variable may be included in an equation, which will be responsible for obtaining the value of its measurement.
