Calibrating an asset

Previous  Top  Next

Use this section to enter the data related to the execution of the calibration, such as the standards to be used during measurements, as well as the measurements themselves:

Point configuration

Allows the user responsible for the activity to edit the points that will be calibrated in the activity (addition, editing or deletion). It is worth noting that this option will be available only if the "Allow editing the calibration points during activity execution" configuration is enabled in the SE Calibration general parameters.

Result

Use this section to enter the general data related to the calibration result. See how to perform this operation:

Result: This field will display the calibration result. The result will be displayed after the other information about the calibration are filled in.

Disable asset: Select this option to disable the asset in the system. Disabled assets may not be calibrated.

Temperature: Enter the temperature of the environment where the asset is located.

Relative humidity: Enter the relative humidity of the environment where the asset is located.

Pressure: Enter the pressure of the environment where the asset is located.

Explanation: Enter the explanation for the calibration result.

This section must be filled out, mandatorily, if the calibration is approved conditionally.

Standard

Consider this tab only if the Measurement data collection option was selected in the standard activity of the calibration in question. Use this section to enter the standards that were used during the calibration. A measurement standard is a materialized measurement (a physical object) or a measuring gage which allows preserving and reproducing a physical quantity, with the objective of transmitting it to other measuring gages. A classic example is the standard block, which transmits a length measurement to other measuring gages. To do that, click on the button on the side toolbar. The addition of a standard in the execution will occur according to the configurations set in the general parameters. The addition screen may be displayed in two ways:

Associating a standard directly in the calibration

Associating a standard by table/point

If the calibration is internal, the gages (assets) to be used as standard should have been calibrated by the plan selected in the Standard section of the standard activity used by this calibration plan (which is being executed).

Measurement

This section will only be displayed if the Measurement data collection option was selected in the standard activity of the calibration in question. This section displays the calibration tables that were added to the standard activity of the calibration in question. In addition to that, at the bottom of the screen, the system lists the acceptability criteria of each table. Use the tables to perform the asset measurements. To do that, select the desired table and click on the button to enter the values obtained in the calibration measurements. Remember that each measurement varies according to the table type. See how to configure the possible options:

Objective measurement

Subjective measurement

Uncertainty

This section will only be displayed if the Input results option was selected in the standard activity of the calibration in question.

1.In the Table field select the table related to the calibration. The system will display for selection the tables that were configured in the standard activity of the calibration in question.

If in the Table field is selected a subjective table, then, in the Result field click on the button and enter the subjective reading result. Refer to the Subjective reading section to verify how to enter the result of subjective readings.

If in the Table field, an objective table is selected, the system will display the data related to the selected table in the Uncertainty section itself. After the selection, the system will display the data related to the table. To enter the measurements of the table in question, click on the buttons next to this field:

When clicked, allows performing an initial bias objective measurement collection.

When clicked, allows performing a final bias objective measurement collection.

2.If necessary, in the F.bias and I.bias tabs, enter the values of the initial and final biases, respectively, and click on the button to save the record.
