To obtain the performance level of the employee in the review evaluation (performance result), the system performs a series of calculations:
▪Competence evaluation item review: ((evaluated score 1 * weight of evaluation 1) + (evaluated score 2 * weight of evaluation 2) / sum of evaluation weights) ▪Review of competence with evaluation item: ((result of the review of item 1 * weight of item 1) + (result of the review of item 2 * weight of item 2) / sum of item weights) ▪Review of competence without evaluation item: ((evaluated score 1 * weight of evaluation 1) + (evaluated score 2 * weight of evaluation 2) / sum of evaluation weights) ▪Evaluation review: ((result of the review of competence 1 * weight of competence 1) + (result of the review of competence 2 * weight of competence 2) / sum of competence weights)
Example 1:
Consider an evaluation plan cycle composed of 3 evaluations: Self-assessment, Leader and Automatic review.
In the evaluation plan cycle, it has been configured that a specific weight will be used per evaluation type:
▪Self-assessment: 1 ▪Leader: 2
Consider the Communication competence with weight of 15 and with the Ability and Attitude evaluation items.
The employee has been evaluated as such during the evaluations:
Self-assessment:

The competence review score will be: 7.74.

Example 2:
Consider the evaluation cycle mentioned in "Example 1" is composed of 4 evaluations: Self-assessment, Peers, Leader and Automatic review.
In the evaluation plan cycle, it has been configured that a specific weight will be used per evaluation type:
▪Self-assessment: 1 ▪Peers: 2 ▪Leader: 3
Consider that two appraisers have performed the peer evaluation for the employee.
The employee has been evaluated in the Conflict resolution competence as such:
Appraiser

|

|

|

|
Mary
|
Good
|

|
To obtain the general score of a competence in an evaluation with multiple appraisers, the competence scores must be added as divided by the number of appraisers.
In this case, the competence score in the peer evaluation will be: 8.0.
The competence review score will be: 7.16.

▪If the "Use specific weight per evaluation type" option is not enabled in the evaluation plan, the calculations above will still be valid, but the weight will be considered 1 for all evaluations. ▪If the review is manual, when accessing the evaluation screen, the competences and items will be displayed calculated by the system (according to the calculations displayed above), according to the changes made by the appraiser. As the values are defined, the system will perform the recalculation. |
