Task:

Item revalidation

Who receives it:

Team responsible for the child item (lower level item) of an item that went through revision. The deadline to execute this task is defined in the General parameters.

When:

Just as the revision of the item is finished (parent item), all child items, i.e., all items that are one level below the structure of the revised item, will receive the item revalidation task.

Purpose:

Notify that the items associated with an item structure need to be revalidated due to the revision of the upper level item.

 

How to execute this task:

 

1.Select the desired item from the list of pending records.

 

2.After that, click on the button on the toolbar.

 

3.At this point, the item revalidation screen will be displayed. In the Action field select one of the following options:

 

 

Action

None

Select this option for no action to be taken about the item.

Add revision

Select this option for a new revision to be created for the item in question. This option will only be displayed if the item is released and has revision control.

Associate last released revision

Select this option to change the obsolete revision of item for the current revision.

 

4.After selecting one of the options of action, click on the button to execute the task.
