Editing problem status

Previous  Top  Next

See how to edit the status of a problem:

Only the users who are the managers of the process or the instance or who have the due permissions (reactivate, postpone, cancel and edit) configured in the problem security list will be able to perform this operation.

1.

In the list of records on main screen, select the desired problem.

2.

After that, click on the button on the toolbar. At this time, the screen to change the status will be displayed:

The image above refers to the reactivation of a cancelled problem, but the screen that will be displayed when editing the status of problems with other statuses is similar.

3.

On the edit status screen, the ID # and Status fields are filled in by the system with the respective information of the selected problem. The other fields on the screen are displayed and/or are enabled according to the status in which the problem is:

Action: Select the desired action to edit the status of the problem:

Reactivate: Reactivates a problem whose execution has been postponed, cancelled or closed.

Postpone: Interrupts the execution of a problem. When reactivating an instance that has been postponed, its execution returns to the activity that was enabled for execution.

Cancel: Cancels the execution of a problem. When reactivating a cancelled problem, it is necessary to enter the instance or item to be reactivated.

Block for editing: Blocks the execution of the problem, allowing the user to edit the flowchart modeling. It is important to point out that, while the problem is blocked, it won't be possible to execute its activities.

Return to: This field will only be displayed when reactivating a problem that has been cancelled or closed. Also fill out the following fields:

Instance: This option will only be displayed if the problem to be reactivated has a sub-process. Select on which instance (upper level process or sub-process) to return to the problem execution.

Item: Select the flow item to which you wish to return the problem execution. The system will only display the flow items that have been executed or were enabled for execution before the instance was cancelled. The activity execution information will be kept if the item that had been enabled for execution before the instance was cancelled is selected.

Explanation: Enter an explanation to the action previously selected. The explanation given may be viewed in the History section on the problem or activity data screen.

In order for the starter, instance manager, and executors of the problem activities to be notified about the previously selected action, it is necessary to make the appropriate settings on the process data screen (Configurations Notification section).

4.

Save the record after that. The problem will be displayed in the list of records with the status corresponding to the action previously selected.
