Task:

Task execution

Who receives it:

Users and teams responsible for the execution of nonproject tasks.

Resources allocated, if the "Allow the resources allocated to perform tasks" option is selected in the task data.

When:

The planning step of a task that does not have the approval step configured is finished and sent to the next step.

The Task planning is approved.

Purpose:

Allow the responsible parties to start, enter important information about the execution, and finish the execution of nonproject tasks.

 

How to execute this task:

In the list of pending records, select the desired task. It is possible to start or finish more than tasks at a time. Hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys down or check next to each task to select more than a record at a time.

 

Note that this menu will only display the pending tasks, i.e., tasks within the execution period.

1_auxnmbAfter that, click on the default button on the toolbar.

If the task status is "Start", on the screen that will open, enter the task start date and the actual % of its execution. See the detailed description on how to start the execution of one or multiple tasks in the Executing a nonproject task section.

If the task is already under execution, the information relating to its execution must be recorded. See more information about this operation in the Editing a nonproject task under execution section.

To finish the execution of a task, enter the actual date of the end of the task execution, or fill in the % actual field with the value 100%. It is also possible to use the fill-in option so that the planned or rescheduled dates are the execution dates of the task. Once done, click on the Save and exit button. At this point, the system will issue an alert informing the task will be finished, being no longer possible to edit it or add values and ask whether you wish to send it to the next step. Choose the desired option:

OK: The task will be sent to one of the following steps:

Execution approval: If in the task type the "Execution approval" option is checked, the system will generate the Task execution approval task for the due responsible parties.

Task verification: If the task does not have the approval step, but at the moment of its planning the "Task will be verified" option is checked, the system will generate the Task verification task for the due responsible party.

Closure: If the task does not have the approval or verification steps, it will be finished.

Cancel: The task will remain pending with the "Execution" status. Sending the task to the next step can also be performed via the next button on the main screen or through the Execution arrowrgray Task execution menu.
