Fields

Lot size

Quantity of products in an inspection lot. For this option, fill out the following fields:

Min. value: Enter the minimum value of the interval for the sampling rule in question to be applied.

Max. value: Enter the maximum value of the interval for the sampling rule in question to be applied.

Sample

The sample consists of one or more units of product, removed from the lot to be inspected, randomly and independently of its quality. The number of units of the product sample is the sample size. For this option, fill out the following fields:

Sample size (n): Enter the product quantity removed from the lot.

Number of acceptable defects (c): Enter the defective quantity tolerable for the approval of the lot.

In practical terms:

From a lot of 1500 units, a sample of 125 units is randomly withdrawn. In each unit in the sample, all specified quality characteristics are inspected to determine if the unit is faulty or not. The entire lot will be accepted if there are 7 or less faulty units found in the sample (c=7). If 8 or more units are found in the sample, the entire lot will be rejected.

There are no sampling limits. Each table can contain various numbers of samplings to be collected.

Save the record after entering the fields above.
