Capturing e-mails from an account

Previous  Top  Next

See how to capture the e-mails sent to an account:

1.

First, configure the verification scheduling of the e-mail account. Refer to the Email import configuration section for a detailed description on how to perform this operation.

2.

Send an e-mail to the same user whose e-mail account was entered in the scheduling:

3.

Wait for the moment of the execution of the verification according to the recurrence frequency configured in the scheduling.

4.

When the verification is executed, the e-mail will be captured and recorded in the Inbox tab of the scheduling. The action will be executed in the workflow according to the rule set in the scheduling, such as start process, add to history or execute activity from the workflow.

If the executed rule is "Instantiate process", the title of the workflow will be the subject of the message of the captured e-mail. If the format of the e-mail content is "Text without formatting", the description of the workflow will be the content of the captured e-mail.

The workflow recorded from the e-mail capture will be available to the user entered as the starter in the tasks: "Execution Activity execution" and "Tracking My workflows".

According to the upload security configurations performed in the CM006 menu (Configuration System) of the SE Configuration component, some file extensions may be blocked for upload or only some extensions will be allowed when uploading. For the e-mail import to be performed successfully, the .eml extension must be allowed.
