Executing an actionable event |
After saving an actionable event for the first time, it is possible to start its execution by sending it to the In progress step through the following screen: ▪Actionable event data screen: Simply select the actionable event under Issue in the list of records, click on the button and on Send to scheduling (next to the Save button).
Scheduled executionAfter sending the event for scheduling, its execution will be actioned according to the frequency defined in its configuration. The execution can go through the following steps:
▪Issue: This step does not allow executing the event and only works for its configuration. ▪In progress: In this step, the event is executed according to the configured frequency. ▪Postponed: The event is not executed in this step, but the user can edit its configurations. ▪Cancelled: The event is not executed in this step, but the user can edit its configurations. By default, cancelled events are not displayed in the KN012 menu. ▪Closed: The event has reached the end of its planned executions.
Through the History section on the event data screen, it is possible to view each execution of the actioned event in the documents. Moreover, the transitions between event statuses and errors found during the execution will be listed. For example: the cancellation of a workflow configured in one of the actions or the lack of permission for the user set as the responsible party.
Manual executionIn the case of events that were configured with the Allow executing the event manually option checked, in addition to the scheduled execution mentioned previously, it is also possible to execute the event manually beyond the configured frequency.
To do that, the Execute event button will be enabled on the event data screen when it is under the In progress step. Click on this button to start the execution at the desired time.
Events without the Allow executing the event manually option checked will only be executed within the configured frequency. |
