These formulas are presented when the formula editor is being accessed in the process activity or gateway configurations through the flowchart.

 

Process

In this section are presented the functions that are presented for all the process configurations that allow the use of formula.

 

▪PROCESS ID #: Returns the ID # of process instance (Workflow, Incident, Problem).

Syntax:

SESUITEID()

 

▪ATTRIBUTE VALUE: Returns attribute value. If it is a multivalued attribute, selected values will be separated with a comma.

Syntax:

ATTRIBUTEVALUE(<attribute ID #>)

 

▪STARTER: Returns the user who is the starter of the process. The <return> can be the "login", the "registration" or "user name".

Syntax:

STARTER(<return>)

 

▪REQUESTER: Returns the user requester of the process. The return can be the login, registration or user name.

Syntax:

REQUESTER(<return>)

 

▪QUANTITY OF EXECUTORS: Returns the quantity of executors of the same activity with multiple executors.

Syntax:

QUANTITYOFEXECUTORS(<order #>; <activity name>)

 

▪EXECUTOR: Returns the user who is the activity executor. The return can be the login, registration or user name.

Syntax:

EXECUTOR(<order #>; <activity name>; <return>)

 

▪ACTIVITY ACTUAL DURATION: Returns actual duration of activity in the elapsed time (since the activity was enabled to the execution date). The return can be in days, hours or minutes.

Syntax:

ACTIVITYDURATION(<order #>; <activity name>; <return>)

 

▪PROCESS ELAPSED TIME: Returns process elapsed time (from the start date to current date). The return can be in days, hours or minutes.

Syntax:

PROCESSELAPSEDTIME(<return>)

 

▪EXECUTED ACTION QUANTITY: Returns the quantity of times an action has been performed in the same activity executed by multiple executors.

Syntax:

EXECUTEDACTIONSQUANTITY(<order #>; <activity name>; <activity name>)

 

▪STARTER DEPARTMENT: Returns the ID # of the process starter department.

Syntax:

STARTERDEPARTMENT()

 

▪TABLE FIELD VALUE: Returns the value of a table field.

Syntax:

FIELDVALUE(<table ID #>; <field ID #>)

 

▪TABLE LIST VALUE: Returns the value of a table field.

Syntax:

LISTVALUE(<table ID #>; <relationship ID #>; <field ID #>)

 

▪EXECUTED ACTION: Returns name of action executed in the activity.

Syntax:

EXECUTEDACTION(<order #>; <activity name>)

 

▪EXECUTOR DEPARTMENT: Returns the ID # of the activity executor department.

Syntax:

EXECUTORDEPARTMENT(<order #>; <activity name>)

 

▪PRIORITY: Returns the priority.

Syntax:

PRIORITY(<name> or <order> or <value>)

 

▪PERCENTAGESTATUSSUBPROCESS: Returns the percentage of sub-process instances closed with a given status.

Syntax:

PERCENTAGESTATUSSUBPROCESS(<subprocess ID #>; <order #>; <status ID #>)

 

Date and time

Activity dynamic duration

In this section, only the date and time functions that are displayed for the dynamic duration configuration of the process activity are displayed:

 

▪ADD DAYS: Returns the date of a working day after adding or subtracting the days from the initial date, according to the entered calendar.

Syntax:

ADDDAYS(<start date in the yyyy-mm-dd format>;<days to be added or subtracted>;<calendar ID #>)

 

▪ADD TIME: Returns the date and time of a working day after adding or subtracting the minutes from the initial date, according to the entered calendar.

Syntax:

ADDTIME(<start date and time in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm format>;<minutes to be added or subtracted>;<calendar ID #>)

 

▪SEPARATE DATE: Returns only the date in the yyyy-mm-dd format.

Syntax:

SEPARATEDATE(<date and time in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm format>)

 

▪SEPARATE TIME: Returns only the time in the hh:mm format.

Syntax:

SEPARATETIME(<date and time in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm format>)

 

Process

Activity dynamic duration

In this section, only the functions that are presented for the dynamic duration configuration of the process activity are presented:

 

▪DEFINES ACTIVITY DURATION: This function is used in the formula return to define the duration of the activity, when the activity considers dynamic duration based on a formula.

Syntax:

DEFINES_ACTIVITY_DURATION(<duration>; <time unit>)

 

▪DEFINE DURATION OF THE PROCESS: Function used to define a new duration for the process. The date parameter must be passed in the yyyy-MM-DD format. Note: This function will only be executed when the process does not have SLA.

Syntax:

DEFINE_DURATION_OF_THE_PROCESS(<date>)

 

Process

Consider dynamic executor for the activity

In this section, only the functions that are presented for the dynamic executor configuration of the process activity are presented:

 

▪DEFINES EXECUTOR: Function used in the formula return to define the activity executor, when the activity considers the dynamic executor based on a formula.

Syntax:

DEFINES_EXECUTOR(<quantity of variable parameters>)

 

Action

Activity action data > Rule/Form

This section describes only the functions displayed in formula configuration in the Rules/Form tab of the activity action data screen. The other functions can be viewed in the "Action" section of the Form.

STOP ACTIVITY EXECUTION: Blocks the action in activity execution.

Syntax:

STOPACTIVITYEXECUTION()

 

Process

Dynamically set the instance manager

This section displays only the functions that are displayed when configuring the process instance manager:

 

▪DEFINES INSTANCE MANAGER: Function used in return of the formula to define the instance manager, when it considers the type of dynamic formula-based manager.

Syntax:

DEFINES_INSTANCE_MANAGER(<quantity of variable parameters>)

 

Process

Gateway output flow data

In this section, only the functions that are presented for the output flow configuration of the process gateways are presented:

 

The following functions are also valid for the Before execution and After execution fields in the system activity data.

 

▪DEFINE PROCESS ATTRIBUTE: Defines the value of a process attribute, if the attribute is multivalued, the values must be separated by "|". Example: value1|value2|value3.

Syntax:

DEFINEPROCESSATTRIBUTE(<attribute id#>; <attribute value>)

 

▪DEFINE TABLE FIELD: Defines the value of an attribute of a process form table.

Syntax:

DEFINESTABLEFIELD(<table ID #>; <field ID #>; <attribute value>)

 

▪DEFINE TABLE RELATIONSHIP: Defines the value of a relationship of a process form table.

Syntax:

DEFINESTABLERELATIONSHIP(<table id #>; <relationship id #>; <column and attribute value of related entity>)

 

▪CHANGE PROCESS TITLE: Function used to define a new title for the process.

Syntax:

CHANGEPROCESSTITLE(<title>)

 

•DEFINE DURATION OF THE PROCESS: Function used to define a new duration for the process. The date parameter must be passed in the yyyy-MM-DD format. Note: This function will only be executed when the process does not have SLA.

DEFINE_DURATION_OF_THE_PROCESS(<date>)
