Executing a project APQP/PPAP activity

Previous  Top  Next

The execution of a project APQP/PPAP activity can be performed in the same way as an APQP/PPAP activity, as described in the Executing an APQP/PPAP activity section. However, when it is a Project APQP/PPAP task, it can also be performed by SE Project.

As soon as the project is sent to the execution step, the APQP/PPAP will also be sent to execution. This means that the project tasks will be presented both in SE APQP/PPAP, through the "APQP/PPAP activity execution" task, as well in SE Project, through the "Task execution" task.

This section will describe how to perform a project APQP/PPAP task through SE Project:

First, in SE Project, access the "Task execution" task, or access the "Execution arrowrgray Task execution" menu. Locate the desired project tasks and click on the default button, by selecting the Task data. At this point, the project task data screen will be displayed.

In order to perform the project task execution with SE APQP integration, two things must be done: the execution dates (A) and the APQP/PPAP form (B) must be filled in.

(A)

In the Actual section, fill out the information regarding the task execution:

To start the task execution, fill in the Start field with the date when the task execution was started and the Actual % field with the execution percentage, to keep the task running, the value should be between 1 and 99.

To end the task execution, fill in the End field with the date when the task execution was finished; at this point, the actual % field will be updated to 100, indicating that the task execution has been completed.

(B)

Click on the edit_small button in the APQP/PPAP activity field for the activity data of APQP/PPAP to be presented in execution mode, thus allowing the APQP/PPAP form to be filled.

Once all the required task information has been filled, save the project task data.

If the end date is not filled, the task will remain pending in the execution step, allowing the task data to be edited later.

It is also worth remembering that you will not be able to end the task if the form has not been filled in.
