Configuring a data source

To add a new data source, click on the

button on the main screen toolbar. To edit a data source, select it in the list of records and click on the

button.

On the screen that will be opened, enter an ID # and a name for the data source. The following tabs are also available:

Field
Click to add an image	Click on this frame to add an image to represent the data source.
Driver	Select the driver that corresponds to the database to be used. According to the option selected in this field, the availability and name of the other fields may vary.
Database name	Enter the name of the database that will be used.
Host	Enter the database server host.
Port	Displays the default port of the previously selected driver, and it is possible to edit it. In that case, enter the driver port.
Instance	This field is available only when the driver selected is SQL Server. If the database server has instances, enter which one to use. Note: Do not fill in this field for connections to databases in Azure
User	Enter the user that will be used for database authentication.
Password	Enter the password that will be used for database authentication.

After filling out the fields in this tab, click on the toolbar button of the data source data screen to validate them.

Versions supported for connection to MySQL database in the data sources: 5.5 to 8.0.27.

Refer to the System requirements technical document for more details on the versions of DBMS compatible with the SE Suite data source.

On this tab, it is possible to define the security list for the data source. Enable the desired option:

Private

Public

Only the users defined in this tab will be able to edit or view the data source. To do that, use the following columns:

▪Edit: Define which users, teams, departments and/or positions will have permission to edit the data source.

▪View: Define which users, teams, departments and/or positions will have permission to view the data source.

All system users will be able to view the data source, but only the users defined in the respective column will be able to edit it.

Therefore, the View column will be disabled (since the data source can be viewed by any user).

In the Edit column, define which users, teams, departments and/or positions will have permission to edit the data source data.

To add a user/team/department/position to the security list, simply type the desired name in the available field and select the corresponding option in the list that will be displayed or press "Enter" on the keyboard.

To delete a user/team/department/position from the security list, click on the button next to the desired record.
