Prerequisites:

None.

Overview:

Failure effects are the failure mode effects in the function, as perceived by the customer. Failure effects, or impacts, are described as what the customer may perceive or experience. The customer can be an internal client as well as an end user. The objective is to predict the effects of failures to the level of knowledge of the team, so it is important to define if the function could affect the safety and compliance with regulations/legislation. Examples of failure effects include: noise, degraded appearance, instability, roughness, among others.
