Adding a category |
To add a new category, perform the following steps:
1.On the toolbar, click on the button.
2.On the screen that will be opened, enter an ID # and a name for the category.
3.On the General tab, fill out the "Upper level category" field only if the record being added is a subcategory. In this case, select, in the aforementioned field, the category in the higher level in the hierarchy. On the same tab, select the icon that will represent the category on the screens in which the resource is used.
4.In the Attribute tab, it is possible to associate attributes with the customers of this category and set them as required or blocked, as necessary. See further details in the Associating attributes with types and categories section.
5.In the Electronic file tab, it is possible to configure the complex file containers that will classify and store the category files. See further details in the Defining the storage of electronic files section.
6.In the Type security tab, define whether the category will be public or restricted and which permission types will be granted to the users. See further details in the Defining the category security section.
7.After that, save the record.
