Enabling and releasing process editing

Previous  Top  Next

When the process type is configured with simplified revision control, the processes of this type may only be edited after editing is enabled. This operation may be performed both in the process data and in the flowchart.

This feature aims at ensuring the versioning of changes, when ISO9000 or Workflow revision control is not required. When you enable editing, a new version will be created, allowing you to make changes without affecting the current version. By finishing the editing, the new version can be released or, if for some reason, it is decided to keep the current version of the process, the changes can be discarded. See below how to perform the simplified revision of the process.

Enable process editing

To edit the process data and/or flowchart, access the process data or flowchart and click on the Enable editing button, located on the toolbar. At this point, the system will inform you that a new version will be created, allowing you to make changes without affecting the current version. By confirming the message, the process data and the flowchart will be displayed in edit mode, allowing them to be edited.

Release/discard process changes

After you have made all the changes to the flowchart or the process data, the version may be released. To do that, click on the Release version button, located on the toolbar. If you wish to discard the changes to the process data or flowchart modeling, click on the Discard changes button.

Both buttons will be available on the process data screen toolbar and on the process flowchart modeling screen.
