Previous  Top  Next

See below how to add a single electronic file or multiple files to the document:

1.Access the File Document menu.

2.On the list of records, select the document whose category is configured with "single files" or "multiple files" and click on .

3.On the document data screen, select the Electronic file option.

There are two ways to add an electronic file to the document:

1.On the side toolbar of the Electronic file tab/section, select the button.

2.Drag the desired electronic files to the list of records of the Electronic file tab/section.

On the screen that will be displayed, drag and drop the files on the indicated area or click on the Select file button, browse through the files saved in the computer and select the desired files. Wait until the file is completely loaded. If any error happens, the system will display an alert icon. Hover the mouse over the icon to view the error message.

If the file type configured in the document category is Single, the document can only have 1 electronic file. In this case, it will not be possible to add more than one electronic file to this section.

If in the Document tab of the general parameters, the "Enable the same electronic file to be associated with different documents" option IS NOT checked, the system will issue an error alert when the user tries to associate the same electronic file with different files.

According to the upload security configurations performed in the Configuration System (CM006) menu of the SE Configuration component, some file extensions may be blocked for upload, or only a few extensions will be allowed when uploading.

After adding all desired files with no errors, click on the Finish button. At this point, the associated electronic files will be displayed in the list of records. Refer to the Accessing the content of electronic files section for more information on how to view and edit electronic files.
