Editing attributes of document batches

Previous  Top  Next

SE Document makes it possible to edit the value of the attributes of multiple documents simultaneously, provided that they have the same attributes associated to their categories and as long as their value is not blocked.

In the list of records on the main screen, locate and select the documents whose attribute values you wish to edit. Hold the SHIFT or CTRL keys down or check next to each record to assist in the selection of the records.

After that, click on the button in the toolbar.

The ID # and Title fields of the screen that will be opened will be filled out by the system and will not be enabled for editing. Right below, the system displays the attributes that complement the previously selected documents and that are common to all of them. Enter the desired value to those you wish to edit. The way to fill out an attribute varies according to the configurations established during its registration.

Notice that when several documents are edited simultaneously:

All the selected documents MUST share common attributes and only those attributes will be displayed on this screen. Those attributes that are not common to all selected documents will not be displayed. If the selected documents do NOT have any common attribute, the system will issue an error alert.

If a common attribute has been configured as required for a document and as not required for another, filling out the fields will not be compulsory for this screen.

If no value has been entered (that is, if the field is not edited) the attribute of the selected document will not be edited.

The value entered for the attribute through this screen, will be applied to all selected documents.

Save the record after making the necessary changes.
