Configuring process automation

In order for a process to be instantiated in SE Workflow, it must be configured with automation and that there is no error in the modeling of its flowchart. Then, to verify that the process has been correctly modeled and configured with automation for SE Workflow, or to perform this configuration, see the following steps:

First, access the File Process menu in the SE Process component. Then locate the desired process. If necessary, use the search filters and/or the type hierarchy to locate the process more easily.

In the process data, go to the General data Automation section:

The "Enable automation" option should be checked; if it is not, check it and fill in the other fields with the automation that will be configured:

▪In order to instantiate the processes in SE Workflow, in the Component field, select the "Workflow" option. The Object and Operation fields will be automatically filled out by the system, since there is only the operation to instantiate the processes through SE Workflow.

▪In order to be able to use Workflow as an object revision process, select the component that has the "Revision" option in the Operation field, for example: APQP/PPAP, Asset, Performance, Document, FMEA, Form, PDM, Process, Survey, Waste, Risk or Test.

▪In order to be able to start the workflow manually, keep the "Disable manual start" option unchecked, otherwise the process can only be started through a schedule through another process, such as a sub-process, or through the revision record of the component configured in revision automation.

▪In order for the workflow to be started on a smartphone, keep the "Disable smartphone startup" option unchecked, otherwise, the workflow in question will not be displayed in the list of workflows to be started when accessing the system on a smartphone.

Save the process after making any necessary changes.

Another important factor for the configuration of process automation is the evaluation of the process to be instantiated. To quickly execute this evaluation, select the process on the main screen of the File Process (SE Process) menu.

The process evaluation is also available in the process flow modeling, through the process menu or through the "Process revision" task, when the process has revision control.

After that, click on the "Evaluate process for instantiation" button, located in the More grouper, on the toolbar.

On the screen that opens, in the Evaluation result field, should return the result "There are no errors"; otherwise, the errors will be listed, and all must be corrected.
