Configuring a measurement field

It is also possible to configure how the measurement values will be displayed. To do that, simply click on the field that was dragged to the analysis. See in the table below how to configure these fields:

Aggregation function: This option converts the measurement values to another value through a function. The following functions may be used:

▪Sum: This function displays the sum of the measurement values.

▪Maximum: This function displays the biggest value of the measurement.

▪Minimum: This function displays the smallest value of the measurement.

▪Average: This function displays the average of the measurement values. Note: This function is not available for "Pivot table" analyses.

▪Count: This function displays the number of values that exist for the measurement.

▪Distinct count: This function displays the number of distinct values that exist for the measurement, that is, values that are not repeated.

Name: Use this option to change the name of the field displayed in the vision.

Format: This field allows formatting how the field values will be displayed in the vision:

▪None: If this option is checked, no format will be applied to the values.

▪Number: If the values of the field are numbers, use this option to set the number of decimal places, to enter the prefix or suffix, as well as to enter the value display units, which will set the suffix for these values.

▪Currency: If the values of the field are currencies, use this option to set the number of decimal places, regional options, which will define the currency symbol as value prefix, as well as the display unit that will set the value suffix.

▪Date: If the values of the field are dates, use this option to set the mask that will be used to display the dates in the vision.

▪Time: If the values of the field are times, use this option to set the mask that will be used to display the time in the vision.

▪Date and time: If the values of the field are date + time, use this option to set the mask that will be used to display the date and time in the vision.

▪Duration: This option will only be available for numeric values converted to milliseconds.

Value: In this field two options are available for displaying measure values. By default, the two options are unchecked. If the "Percentage" option is checked, the values will be displayed in terms of the percentage of a total. If the "Accumulated" option is checked, the measure will display the accumulation of the values of each dimension.

View: Click on the “Hide” option for the measurement to not be displayed in the vision.
