Configuring a vision cache |
It is possible to enable the use of cache for the visions that are displayed in Portals. This resource is useful so that the users do not have to wait for time-consuming information that does not change at every moment. For user clarity and tranquility, whenever they receive data from cache, the system will display the date and the time in which the cache was generated. Furthermore, it is possible to configure for the option to synchronize data to be displayed, which will cause for the cache to be ignored and the updated data to return to the screen.
Cache configuration must be performed in the OLAP screen, during the vision modeling, through the Advanced button. The following options are available: ▪Enable data cache: Check this option to enable the use of cache for the vision. As soon as this option is checked, the other parameters will be available for configuration. ▪User can update data: Check this option so that users can manually update the cache. If this option is checked, a button will be displayed in the vision associated in a Portal, allowing the user to update the data displayed in the vision. ▪User level: This configuration stores a separate cache for each user. The data displayed in the vision come from a private cache. If this option is checked, this property ensures that each user can only see the data they are authorized to view. However, a cache for each user has a less efficient performance. If the vision data is not user sensitive, you can leave this field unchecked, ensuring better performance. ▪Automatic update: If this option is enabled, the vision will be constantly updated according to the time entered in the Interval field. By default, the automatic update occurs at every 30 minutes, but you can alter this interval to the time that is most reasonable considering your needs, without burdening your server, ensuring that the most up-to-date information is available to the final user. |
