Type security

See how to configure the security list of the problem type:

 

1.

First, at the top of the tab, select one of the following options:

Public: Any SE Problem user will have the access permission to the problem type.

Restricted: Only determined SE Problem users will have the access permission to the problem type. At this point, the buttons of the toolbar will be enabled. Click on the button and fill out the following fields on the data screen that will be opened.

In the Access type field, select one of the following options to set the access type that will compose the security list:

Team: Will be composed of the members of a team previously registered in SE Problem.

Organizational unit: It will be composed of users of a particular organizational unit or department of the organization.

Department/Position: Will be composed of users from a specific department of the company, who have a specific position.

Position: Will be composed of users who hold specific position in the company.

User: It will be composed of a specific user.

All: Will be composed of all the users who have access to the SE Problem component.

According to selected access type, the Search filters will be enabled to be filled out. Use them to facilitate the search of users who will form the security list.

In the Controls field, it is possible to select the actions that may or may not be performed in the type. To do so, select the controls that will be granted to the access type selected previously:

Add: Adds new problem types in the levels below the type.

Edit: Edits the data of the type.

Delete: Deletes the type.

Security data: Edits the security data of the type. Users who have this control denied, or not enabled, may edit the other data of the type, but the fields on the Type security tab will be blocked.

List: View the problem type on system screens that have type hierarchy. Users that have this control denied, or not enabled, will not view the problem type in the type hierarchy and consequently, will not be able to initialize and view problems of this type.

View: View the data screen of the problem type. Users that have this control denied, or not enabled, will not have access to the problem type and consequently cannot initialize and view incidents of this type.

 

Use the buttons located on the side of the field to expand and view the control list, check all the controls available and clear the checked options made, respectively.

After filling the fields above, click on the button on the selection screen toolbar.

The result will be displayed in the list of records located in the lower part of the screen. Select the ones that will compose the security list.

 

Hold the SHIFT or CTRL keys down or check next to each item, to select more than a record at a time.

Save your selection.

 

Use the other buttons on the toolbar to edit the data or delete an access selected from the security list of the problem type.
