To edit the data of an FMEA, select the desired record and click on the button on the main screen toolbar.
Note: Only the responsible team can edit the FMEA data. If the type that classifies the FMEA has revision control, then it is only possible to edit the FMEA data when it is under revision through the FMEA revision task. If the record does not have revision control, click on the "Release version" button on the data screen. To revise the record later, it will be necessary to enable editing. It will also be possible to discard the changes, keeping the current revision instead of releasing a new version.
To convert an FMEA from the 4th edition version to the AIAG & VDA version, simply switch the FMEA type in the FMEA data screen to another type configured with the new version. An association wizard will be displayed to execute this request.

General data
The fields in this section will be displayed as completed, according to what was entered when creating the FMEA, but they can be edited. See a detailed description of the fields available for editing in the Creating FMEAs section.
|
Attribute
This section will only be displayed if there are attributes configured in the type that classifies the family in question. The attributes that are required must have their values filled out. For that, simply enter them in the list of attributes itself.
|
Function
This section will only be available for AIAG & VDA FMEAs. In this section, the functions of each FMEA element are associated. If necessary, it is possible to add or edit such information. To do that, use the side toolbar.

This section will only be displayed if the FMEA type has revision control via Workflow or based on the ISO9000 standards. Thus, if it is necessary to complement the revision information, it is possible to access and edit its data. Access the Creating an FMEA revision section for further details on this operation.
|
In this section, it is possible to assemble the FMEA structure, and view where it is used. Access the Assembling the FMEA structure section for details on this operation. If the FMEA is of the Process type, a screen with the assembly wizard will be opened to help. Access the Assembling the FMEA structure section for details on this operation. It is worth remembering that if the FMEA is under revision, the structure can only be edited by the drafter through the FMEA revision task.

In this field, it is possible to select an action plan that will be associated with the actions (preventive or corrective) which will be taken to reduce the number of risks (RPN), which is obtained through the modes, effects, and failure causes identified in the FMEA structure. Remember that the actions of the associated action plan in FMEA will be displayed in the Recommended action field during the installation of its structure. Use the other buttons next to this field to add a new action plan, clear the filled-in value, or open the plan structure screen.

The APQP/PPAP section will only be presented if the FMEA in question is associated in an APQP/PPAP. It is worth mentioning that the APQPs are recorded and managed through the SE APQP/PPAP component.

After setting up all the necessary FMEA information, save the record.
