Project planning

The project remains in the planning step, i.e., the planned project is not sent to the next step.

Purpose:
|
To finish the planning of a project, enabling to perform the necessary adjustments before sending it to the next configured step.
|
How to execute this task:
1.In the list of pending records, select the desired project.
2.Make sure the project data has been properly entered. To do that, click on the toolbar button and perform the necessary adjustments on the data screen that will be displayed. The detailed description of the fields in the project planning data screen was performed in the Editing planning project section.
3.Also, check if the project structure is properly assembled. To do that, click on the arrow next to the button and select the desired option to access SE GanttChart or the project schedule.
4.The following buttons on the toolbar are also available:

Click on this button to delete the project selected from the list of records. Note that projects that have a relationship cannot be deleted.

Click on the arrow next to this button and select the desired option to access the SE GanttChart or the project schedule selected in the list of records.
|
|
Click on the arrow next to this button to configure and issue the desired project reports and tasks. This button also allows you to export the list of records displayed on the main screen to an Excel file, configure a new report or associate an existing report, and it also searches for the parameters that can be used in the configuration of new reports.

|
Click on this button to export the GanttChart of the project selected in the list of records. See further details in the Exporting projects section.

|
Click on this button to edit the status of the project selected in the list of records. See further details about this operation in the Changing the status of a project/program section.
|
|
Click on this button to unblock a project being edited through SE GanttChart or that is blocked for other reasons. Note that, after clicking on this button, the project will be available for editing. If SE GanttChart is opened by one user, and another user makes a change to it, the information of one of the two users may be lost.

Click on this button to recalculate the schedule of an outdated project. Select the desired record before clicking on the button.
|

Click on this button to view the WBS of the project selected in the list of records. See further details in the Work breakdown structure (WBS) section.

Click on this button to view the OBS of the project selected in the list of records. See further details in the Organization breakdown structure (OBS) section.

|
Click on this button to edit the communication plan of the project selected in the list of records. Through the screen that will display, it will be possible to view the team data and communication matrix, and view the forums related to the selected project.

|
This button will only be displayed on the toolbar if SE Project is integrated with SE Risk. Click on it to create a risk plan of the project selected in the list of records. Refer to the specific SE Risk documentation for further details on risk plans.

Click on this button to change the main screen layout to three quadrants. After selecting this option, the third quadrant displays the schedule and the details of the project selected in the list of records of the second quadrant.

Click on this button to change the main screen layout to two quadrants.

5.To finish the planning of the project, select it in the list of records of the main screen and click on the button of the toolbar. At this point, the system will ask whether you wish to send the project to the next step. Choose the desired option: OK: The project will continue to one of the following steps:
▪Approval: If in the program type it is configured that it will go through approval, the system will generate the Project and program approval task for those responsible for it. ▪Project tracking: If the project does not have approval configured on its type, its tasks will be released for execution by the due responsible parties and the project will be available for tracking through the Project tracking menu. Cancel: The project will remain pending with the Planning status. In this case, sending the project to the next step may also be performed through the Management Program planning.
▪After finishing the planning, the system will generate the Revision acknowledgment task for the due responsible parties, if so configured in the Access Control tab of the project type that was planned. ▪When project planning is closed, the executor of the tasks will be notified by email that they are available for execution. The executors of the tasks are notified by e-mail also when the project revision (if any) is closed and when the tasks predecessor of the task under their responsibility, has its execution finished. |
